Holux is readying a new GPS navigation system called GPSmile 61 which was already on display at CES 2008. GPSmile 61 caught out attention with its shiny slim body design and sharp screen that measures 4.3 inches.
Specs are not yet clear but all we know that it supports 4GB SD cards, and can render maps in 3D. Looking at the picture we can also see that it has some sort of a media player.

We are a fan of Mio at Undetected they provide some great low cost GPS units and also provide some very high end units that easily compare to the like of TomTom and Garmin.
One of the other big GPS Satellite Navigation players is Navman who was acquired by Mitac back in February 2007. Mio and Navman are merging brands under the Mio nameplate however Navman will continue to exist here in the UK.
The takeover by Mio is supposed to merge the hardware competency of Mio with the software expertise of Navman and we hopefully see the Mio products improve even further over the next few years.
