The
Snooper SD715is is a “budget” priced radar detector,
yet it has still been designed to offer complete protection for
the driver by utilising the unique 5 BAND detection system pioneered
by Snooper. Compact design together with excellent detection range
makes this radar detector ideal for the serious driver.
- 5 Band radar detection including the new Ku band complete protection.
- Specially tuned 1000MHz bandwidths on both X and K frequencies.
- Undetectable Stealth Technology.
- Separate audio and visual indicators - tells you exactly what
you are detecting.
- Full laser detection - detects the latest laser devices.
- Mute, Dark and City controls - for optimum control.
- Includes Complete Owners Manual.
- Range -
- Radar and Laser Guns up to 1 mile
- Gatso Cameras up to 75 yards
- MiniGatso up to 400 yards
- Dimensions: 120mm x 75mm x 28mm
- Professional Quality Product - 2 year warranty
MUTE: - The mute button has two functions.
Pressing the mute button when no alert is being received puts the
unit in auto-mute mode. This means when an alert is received it
will chirp once to announce the signal detection and if the signal
is prolonged it then 'clicks' quieter for the duration of that alarm.
Pressing the mute button during an alert will cancel the audible
warning for that signal for 20 seconds.
DARK: - This function turns off all visual alert
indicators (LEDs) except the power indicator. The detectors audio
alerts remain active. Some people find flashing indicators distracting!
CITY: - One of the signals the radar detects is
X band. One of the things X band is used for are non-speeding radar
systems such as intrusion alarms, automatic door openers and microwave
traffic light signal controllers. Pressing CITY mode reduces the
radars sensitivity to this frequency to eliminate the weak X band
signals produced by these other uses.
Mounting and power supply
The Snooper SD715is radar detector can either be mounted onto the
dashboard with the use of velcro or it can be mounted against the
windscreen by use of a support bracket and suction pads. The unit
then has a power lead, which simply plugs into the cigarette lighter.
Summary of advanced technologies incorporated into Snooper
SD715is
- 5 Band technology gives protection on Ku band
- Super Wideband Ka. Provides complete detection of the entire
Ka bandwidth (33.4 to 36.0 GHz)
- Off-Axis Laser Detection: Provides detection of 'off-axis energy'
(any scattering of the laser beam caused by atmospheric conditions)
to give the maximum warning time.
- LSV (Laser Signal Verification): Specifically programmed to
discriminate between true laser, other optical sources and electromagnetic
interference that may trigger false alerts.
- FDP (Frequency Domain Processing): Provides critical information
to the digital processor required for Laser signal verification.
- Eurotech 2000: Snooper SD 715is is designed and manufactured
specifically for the European Market.
